Is my data secure even though my Redshift cluster is publicly accessible?

Yes, because you can control who accesses your server using network security groups and strong passwords in your Redshift user accounts.

When you created your Amazon Redshift cluster, we had you create an inbound rule for your VPC security group. This is what that security group rule is for - so inbound traffic from Stitch can deliver your data.

If the cluster wasn’t publicly accessible, Stitch wouldn’t be able to access your data warehouse.
