Connecting MongoDB

Stitch supports Mongo versions 2.4+. If you’re on an older version, our integration may not work correctly. Please reach out to support if you run into issues.

The process for connecting MongoDB to Stitch will vary a bit depending on how your Mongo server is configured. Specifically, if your server uses the default mode (No Auth) or if authentication is required for access.

Auth Mode

Auth mode requires every user who connects to Mongo to have a username and password. These credentials must be validated before the user will be granted access to the database.

If your server uses Auth, follow the instructions in this doc.

Default (No Auth) Mode

If your server doesn't require user credentials, then the default No Auth mode is being used.

Use the instructions in this doc to set up and connect Mongo to Stitch.
